The February WordPress Attack Report is out and this morning and they are including something new.

WordFence has performed a topological analysis on the attack data from the Top 25 IPs for the month of February. This allows them to observe group behavior and it also makes for several beautiful images.

They have also included charts showing complex attack and brute force attack activity for the month of February along with details of the top 25 attacking IPs. The report also includes top attacked plugins and themes and the top attacking countries.

They have also included some detail on the ISPs that have generated the most attacks and our in-depth analysis shows there is a relationship between them.

Anatomy of a Hacker Organization
This morning WordFence published an in-depth analysis of a criminal organization that is targeting WordPress websites. They analyzed their attack methods, how they benefited financially from the campaign they are engaged in and they show that US based law firms are continually filing lawsuits against this organization.
WordFence includes data on the volume of attacks they are seeing from this organization in the past few weeks and where they are hosting some of their infrastructure. They also follow the money and show that the financial beneficiaries are connected across websites and are part of an organization.
